Socceroos midfielder Kenny Dougall is in the infancy of his international career – having taken the long journey to a Green and Gold shirt.

After a breakout campaign with Queensland Premier League side Brisbane City, Dougall moved to the Netherlands to sign for Telstar in 2014. He spent a season at Telstar before moving to fellow Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam for three years.

He spent two seasons at English side Barnsley before departing at the conclusion of the 2019/20 season and signing for Blackpool. Dougall helped guide Blackpool to a third-place finish in the English League One 2020/21 campaign, scoring two regular-season goals from midfield.

Dougall joined Graham Arnold's 31-man Socceroos squad after scoring a brace in the League One playoff final at Wembley to guide Blackpool back into the English Championship.

In the same week as his club heroics, the box-to-box midfielder earned his international debut against Kuwait.
