Risdon made his Hyundai A-league debut in November 2010 and by the 2011/12 Season had established himself as a regular starter for Perth Glory, making 24 appearances and being named Most Glorious Player.

He played seven seasons in total for Perth - being selected Hyundai A-League Team of the Season for 2015/16 - before settling on a change of scenery at Western Sydney Wanderers.

While team success is yet to eventuate, the 25-year-old has enjoyed a more regular berth in the national team.

Best Caltex Socceroos moment:

Australia's victories over Syria and Honduras in the FIFA World Cup qualifying play-offs came with no shortage of assistance from Risdon, who played 90 minutes in each of the away legs.

Hyundai A-League connection:

Risdon has made over 150 appearances in Australia's top-flight career spanning eight seasons.
