Socceroos striker Adam Taggart is no stranger to finding the back of the net. The West Australian forward started his senior career at local side Perth Glory; however, it was his 2012 move to Newcastle Jets where the then 20-year-old made his name, securing the 2013/14 Golden Boot with 16 goals.

Taggart's reward for the stellar season, was a dream move to Premier League outfit Fulham FC, however injuries limited game time forcing the striker to return home for consistent first team football.

After successful campaigns with Perth Glory and Brisbane Roar, K-League powerhouse Suwon Bluewings secured the Socceroos' signature and has hit career best form becoming the first Australian to win the league's golden boot award in 2019 with 20 goals. Ahead of the 2021 season, Taggart joined J1 League club Cerezo Osaka.

Best Socceroos moment:

Taggart being 21 at the time, was selected as part of Ange Postecoglou's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Getting time on the field against the Netherlands and Spain, Adam Taggart was opposite two of the world's best number 9's in the likes of Fernando Torres and Robin Van Persie.

A-League connection:

The Perth native made 92 appearances for Perth Glory, Brisbane Roar and Newcastle Jets where he achieved the 2013/14 season's top scorer award.

Did you know?

Taggart scored his first Socceroos goal at 19 years and 190 days, placing the forward alongside some of Australia's youngest ever goal scorers.
