Today we recognise a Socceroo who made 68 appearances for his country.

Scott Kenneth Chipperfield was born on December 30, 1975 in Sydney and went on to represent Australia 68 times.

The midfielder became cap 439 for the Socceroos after making his debut against Fiji in 1998. He went on to score 12 goals in his international career and was part of the Socceroos squad at both the 2006 and 2010 World Cup before announcing his retirement from the national team after Australia-s 2-1 win over Serbia in South Africa 2010.

Of his 12 goals, arguably the most valuable was the winner over Uzbekistan in a World Cup qualifier in Tashkent in 2008.
