Tomislav Mrcela was selected for his first Socceroos squad for the opening 2018 World Cup qualifier against Kyrgyzstan.
The Perth-born central defender left Australia as an 11-year-old and currently plays for NK Lokomotiva Zagreb in the Croatian first division where he has spent the majority of his career.
