Telstra and Socceroo Lucas Neill have launched the Telstra Supporteroos competition giving Australian football fans the opportunity to win one of five trips for two to Thailand to support the Socceroos as they compete for the Asian title.

As proud sponsors of Football Federation Australia, Telstra and Lucas Neill are selecting five people to make up the Telstra Supporteroos team in the roles of the Rookie, the Behind the Scenes Supporter, The Expert, the Pro and the Fanatic.

“No matter how you are involved in football, this great initiative from Telstra gives you the chance to travel to Thailand to cheer on the team,” Lucas said.

Junior football legends in the making aged between six and 17 will have the opportunity to be selected as The Rookie on the Telstra Supporteroos team and players 18 and over with footy flair will have the opportunity to secure The Pro spot.

No support team would be complete without the tireless work undertaken by hundreds of people across the country every weekend for a local football club. Telstra is looking for the most dedicated Behind the Scenes supporter who is over 18 to reward with the ultimate holiday in Thailand.

The final two positions on the Telstra Supporteroos team will be made up of The Expert, the person who knows everything about football and the ultimate Socceroos fan, The Fanatic.

Fans from across Australia have the opportunity to be chosen as a member of the Telstra Supporteroos team and win a trip for two to support the Socceroos in Thailand by logging onto www.beinvolved.telstra.com, where they can find out how to enter and full terms and conditions.

The Telstra Supporteroos competition is open to Australian residents from 27 May to 24 June 2007.
