Socceroos semi-final a sell-out

The Socceroos will play before a packed Newcastle Stadium for their AFC Asian Cup semi-final against the UAE tomorrow night, with the match officially sold-out.

It is the fourth time from their five appearances Ange Postecoglou's side have attracted a sell-out crowd and the seventh for the tournament, which has already seen 504,046 fans attend 28 matches over 14 days in five cities.

The Socceroos played before sell-out crowds in Melbourne and Brisbane for their Group matches and the quarter-final in Brisbane, and a crowd of 50,276 attended Sydney’s Stadium Australia for the clash against Oman.

Ticketholders are urged to take advantage of free public transport to Newcastle Stadium on Tuesday night and encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pre-match activities in the precinct.

Stadium Ticket Offices open from 5pm, with gates opening from 5.30pm.

The Socceroos play the United Arab Emiriates in the Semi-Finals of the AFC Asian Cup on Tuesday 27 January with the match to be broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports 505 and LIVE on ABC 1 from 8pm AEDT.
