FFA announce the Socceroos will play Canada in an international friendly match at Craven Cottage, London on Tuesday 15 October.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) and the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) today announced that the Socceroos will meet the Canadian Men-s National Football team in an international friendly match at Craven Cottage, London on Tuesday 15 October 2013 kick-off at 8:00pm BST (6:00am AEDT, Wednesday 16 October).

Socceroos Head Coach Holger Osieck is looking forward to playing another international match ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

“The opportunity came up to play Canada on the second FIFA match date in October after we play France on the Friday evening in Paris,” said Osieck

“For us it is important to play as many international matches as possible in the lead-up to the World Cup,” concluded Osieck.

This will be the ninth match between Canada and Australia at senior men-s international level. As a matter of fact, Canada-s first ever official A-International was against Australia back in 1924.

The match between the Socceroos and Canada will be broadcast live and exclusive on FOX SPORTS.
