Despite Garang Kuol completing his move to Newcastle United midweek, there will still be three Socceroos in action at Industree Group Stadium on Saturday evening with Craig Goodwin’s Adelaide United coming to town.

Goodwin’s Reds come into Saturday’s clash off the back of a 2-0 win over Perth Glory on Monday night that saw them climb to fourth on the league table.

The Mariners sit one point above the Reds in third coming into the weekend’s action having beaten Melbourne Victory 2-1 in their most recent outing.

Jason Cummings continued his strong run of recent form with a brace in the Mariners New Years eve win, taking his tally for the 2022/23 season to six goals.

At the other end of the park Danny Vukovic will be tasked with keeping Goodwin and the United attack at bay.

Sydney FC vs Wellington Phoenix – Get Tickets

Andrew Redmayne will be chasing back-to-back clean sheets when Sydney FC host Wellington Phoenix at Allianz Stadium on Saturday evening.

Redmayne kept his first clean sheet of the season as the Sky Blues bagged a 2-0 away win over Newcastle Jets on New Years Day in their last match.

Monday’s win saw Sydney climb into the competition’s top six, with 13 points from ten matches so far this season.

Melbourne City vs Western United – Get Tickets

Jamie Maclaren will look to continue his record goal-scoring run with the help of Mathew Leckie & Marco Tilio when Melbourne City take on Western United at AAMI Park on Saturday night.

Maclaren became the first player in A-League Men history to score in nine straight matches after bagging a brace in City’s 3-1 win over Wellington Phoenix on Monday.

Leckie scored City’s other goal in Monday’s win, heading home from a Tilio cross. Tilio also won the penalty which was subsequently converted by Maclaren for his first of the afternoon.

City are four points clear at the top of the league heading into the weekend’s action.
