Socceroo keeper Mat Ryan was part of Valencia’s 3-1 Copa Del Rey win overnight as interim coach Gary Neville gets set to take the reins of the La Liga club.
After a spell out injured Ryan is back between the posts as Cancelo cancelled out Arroyo’s 16th minute opener for Barakaldo in the round of 32 first leg clash.
Second half strikes to Gaya and Parejo sealed the win. They meet again on December 17 in game 2 in Valencia.
Meanwhile, Valencia have appointed Neville as head coach until the end the season.
He will officially take charge of the first team on Sunday 6 December ahead of the UEFA Champions League match against Lyon at the Mestalla on Wednesday 9 December.
However, before then, Ryan and his teammates will face Barcelona in La Liga this weekend at the Mestalla.
