Socceroos clinic inspires next generation of football stars
Socceroos Harry Kewell, Jacob Burns, Michael Beauchamp and James Holland held a skills clinic for junior players from local clubs the Granville Waratahs and Granville Kewpies. The clinic was held at Parramatta Stadium in the lead up to last weeks Socceroos vs. Ghana Friendly.
Former Socceroo Bill Henderson, the Australian goal keeper at the 1956 Olympic Games, also attended the event, to meet the current Socceroos and support his two former clubs.
The clinic was part of the Qantas Sharing the Spirit initiative, a series of programs and events designed to put Australians in touch with their heroes and their dreams.
