She will perform ‘UP!- live at the farewell match when the Socceroos take on South Africa at ANZ Stadium on 26 May, a match presented by NAB.
“I-m so excited my new song ‘UP!- is the official Socceroos World Cup song,” Samantha Jade said.
“I-m also looking forward to performing at the Socceroos farewell match against South Africa before they take off for the World Cup.”
FFA CEO David Gallop hailed Samantha Jade-s song as the ideal platform to connect the Socceroos with the fans.
“The Socceroos are preparing to unite all of Australia on the world stage and we now have a song to offer another level of connection between the Socceroos and the fans,” said Gallop.
“Samantha Jade-s song brings to life the words and emotions of the current players and Socceroo pioneers as we all look forward with anticipation to watching the Socceroos do us proud and write the fourth chapter in our proud World Cup history.”
