Oar back in action for Utrecht

Socceroo winger Tommy Oar made a surprise return for his Dutch club in their clash with Ajax over the weekend.

AUSSIES ABROAD UPDATE

Oar, recently ostracised for announcing his intention to leave at the end of the season, returned to action for Utrecht, coming on in the 25th minute of a 1-1 draw at home to Ajax.

After playing just a cameo in the Asian Cup, it's a boost for Oar who needs game time ahead of the Socceroos' World Cup qualifiers in June.

Elsewhere overnight, Ivan Franjic was an unused substitute for Torpedo Moscow, who won 3-1 away to Arsenal Tula in the Russian Premier League.

Aziz Behich played a full game and helped Bursaspor keep a clean sheet in a 3-0 Turkish Super Lig win at home to Kayseri Erciyesspor.

Luke Wilkshire stayed on the bench for Feyenoord, who registered a 4-1 win away win at AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie.

Ben Halloran didn't get on the pitch for Fortuna Dusseldorf, who beat Darmstadt 98 2-0 at home in Germany's second tier, the 2. Bundesliga.

Andy Rose played a full match for Seattle Sounders, who defeated Houston Dynamo 1-0 at home in Major League Soccer.
