Moore, on the outer at Rangers after deciding to play at the Athens Olympic Games, has signed an 18-month contract with Monchengladbach as it looks to arrest its poor start to the season. Borussia, currently lies fourth from last.

Moore will be reunited with his former Rangers manager Dick Advocaat and believes Moore is the ideal player to shore up the centre of its defence, which has leaked 30 goals in 17 games.

The 29-year old is fit again after missing two months with a hernia operation.

Meanwhile fellow Qantas Socceroo Brett Emerton scored his first goal since the end of October, to give Blackburn Rovers a valuable 1-0 win over Charlton earlier this morning.

Emerton-s fourth goal of the season with a header from close range, has now lifted Rovers six points clear of the relegation zone.
