Football Federation Australia (FFA) recently announced that US Major League Soccer (MLS) Team LA Galaxy, including their new star recruit David Beckham, are coming to Sydney to play a one-off match against Sydney FC at Telstra Stadium on Tuesday the 27th of November.

This historic event will be Beckham-s first appearance outside of North America for the Galaxy, and his first visit to Australia.

This major event will be broadcast live in high definition nationally on Network Ten in a three hour special presentation. “On the eve of Australia's first tilt at the AFC Asian Cup, and less than two months out from the start of Hyundai A-League Season Three, it is wonderful to be able to announce an event like this between two great teams from two of the world-s premier cities,” said FFA CEO Ben Buckley at this week-s announcement.

"Once the concept for events of this nature has been proven, we will be working to arrange similar fixtures between Hyundai A-League Clubs and high profile international club opponents in future years," concluded Buckley.

The match will coincide with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Conference Annual Awards night which will be held in Sydney from 27-29 November 2007.

Tickets for this historic event will go on sale to Australian sports fans later this month through Ticketek, with Sydney FC members and members of the Football Family receiving priority access.
