Australia’s Harry Kewell scored a powerful header for Liverpool Legends but it wasn’t enough as Real Madrid’s Legends featuring Zinedine Zidane won 4-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
A packed stadium saw the home side’s Legends, also featuring Brazilian Roberto Carlos, make a strong comeback to get the better of a six-goal game on the weekend.
Kewell scored early in the first half for the visitors as did Michael Owen to put the Reds up 2-0.
But Real came back into the contest thanks to goals from Roberto Carlos (2 x pens), Jose Emilio Amavisca and Ivan Perez.
