Liverpool FC goalkeeper Brad Jones has been drafted into the Qantas Socceroos squad for the international friendly match against Lebanon and the 2014 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifier against Jordan.

Jones replaces Adam Federici who has been ruled out of the squad due to injury.

This will be the first time that Jones has been with the Qantas Socceroos since the AFC Asian Cup 2011.

The Lebanese FA have also advised that the venue for the match has been moved to the Saida Municipal Stadium due to a virus in the grass at the Sports City Stadium. The Saida Municipal stadium is a 22,600 capacity stadium south of Beirut and is built over the Mediterranean Sea.

This will be the first official meeting between the Qantas Socceroos and the Lebanon and Jordan national teams at senior men-s international level.
