The Joeys are into the semi-finals of the AFF U-15 Youth Championships after rounding out the group stage with a win over Laos on Monday night.
Tony Vidmar’s side prevailed 3-1 to finish second in Group A behind host nation Thailand.
Against Laos, scores were locked at 1-1 at the break after Jaiden Kucharski’s goal was cancelled out by a reply from Chony Wenpaserth.
But a second-half brace from Melbourne City’s Giovanni Stellitano in the first 15 minutes after the break saw the youngsters run out comfortable winners.
The Joeys will play the winners of Group B in their semi-final, which will be decided later on Tuesday night after those nations play their final matches.
Australia’s likely semi-final opponent will be Vietnam, with the match to be played on Thursday night.
The event is a lead up tournament to the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers which take place in September.
