Bernie Ibini’s worst fears have been confirmed with the Socceroo flyer set to miss four months of football with a fractured fibula.
Ibini, who suffered the injury on the first official day of pre-season training with Club Brugge, confirmed on Instagram he will undergo surgery in Gent on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old isn’t likely to be back to full fitness until October.
It’s a cruel blow for the ex-Sydney FC and Mariners attacker who made his dream move to Europe from Shanghai SIPG last month to link up with close mate Mat Ryan.
