Greece coach Michael Skibbe has unveiled his 24-man squad for next month’s two-game Dodoni Series against the Caltex Socceroos.
The Greek boss trimmed seven from the original 31-man squad he named a fortnight ago for the matches in Sydney (June 4) and Melbourne (June 7).
There are 15 players that play outside of the Greek Super League, including Benfica star Andreas Samaris, Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Giannis Maniatis from Belgium’s Standard Liege.
But in-form Benfica strike Kostas Mitroglou hasn’t been included despite a superb season with the Portuguese giants, with young gun Nikos Karelis set to lead the attack.
