Adam Cooper headlined the Futsalroos performance with four first half goals while Daniel Fogarty got a hat-trick and Jarrod Basger and Marino Musumeci getting doubles.

Head coach Steven Knight was happy with his side's opening to the tournament but warned against complacency ahead of tougher clashes in their group.

"I was pleased with the teams much improved performance today," said Knight. "Our primary focus was to improve our possession play, with better finalisation."

"The players responded well to what was asked and expected from them.

"We now re-group and focus on tomorrow's match, once again seeking an improvement on today's performance".

Australia next plays Myanmar on Tuesday 22 October and then finish the group stage against Indonesia on Wednesday 23 October.

The AFF Miracle of Life Futsal Championship 2013 will also serve as the qualification tournament for the AFC Futsal Championships with the top three teams progressing to the tournament which will be held in Vietnam.
