Foxtel All-Stars Tim Cahill Ambitions Tour wraps up

A group of football-mad teenagers from around Australia have just arrived home after the experience of a lifetime at the Foxtel All-Stars Tim Cahill Ambitions Tour.

Back in November, Cahill and Foxtel announced their pledge to search the nation for twenty-four 15 and 16 year olds who deserve the chance to follow their football dreams. And after much anticipation, last week they arrived in camp and embarked upon their 5 day journey to learn what it takes to get to the top.

As one of the participants described it; “It was just the most life changing-week”

The group took part in a variety of activities including twice-daily training sessions led by the best in the business, including Foxtel All-Stars Head Coach Robbie Anderson, Matildas coach Alen Stajic and Western Sydney Wanderers’ Ian Crook, Trevor Morgan and Ron Corry.

There was a lot of learning off the field too, with visits from sport scientists, nutritionists and even a behind the scenes tour of FOX SPORTS Studios led by presenters Adam Peacock and Robbie Slater.

Throughout the week, the kids were battling it out for the prestigious Foxtel All-Stars Tim Cahill Scholarship, which will see one boy and one girl supported for the rest of the year and given the kick-start they need to pursue their football career.

And on Saturday 16th December they had the chance to show their skills to a roaring crowd of 20,000 fans at the WSW vs SFC derby, where they took the field as a curtain-raiser to the big game.

“I’m so proud of this group of kids, and just glad that we can offer them these amazing opportunities to follow their dreams," Cahill said.
