The Fans in Vans crew left Brisbane for Gold Coast around midday, stopping off a Surfers Paradise for a bit of beach football and a few photos with the locals.

After that it was on for a few pre-match drinks with the United fans who were straight up to offer handshakes and welcomes, despite Neil and David wearing Perth Glory and Adelaide United shirts respectively.

Skilled Park is a fantastic venue and a great place to visit for a football match. The Fans in Vans guys were welcomed into The Beach and took their place behind the goal before kick off.

Despite Wellington going a goal up, the home supporters continued to sing their hearts out and they were rewarded two minutes from time when James Brown scored a stunning equaliser right in front of them.

Afterwards it was a few more drinks and a chat with the Gold Coast supporters as well as one lone Brisbane fan who made his way down south for the game.

The Perth Glory and Adelaide United clash passed off without incident between the rival supporters, and there was even time for a group shot of fans from four clubs with the now famous ‘We Are Football- flags.

With the football done and dusted it was back on the road as the vans headed south for Sydney.

At about 2.30am they reached Coffs Harbour where everyone decided it was time to pull over for the night and have a sleep.

At 7am Monday morning, Ausgrid Stadium in Newcastle was the first port of call where the group were very kindly afforded the opportunity to take some photographs inside.

Monday night is all about rest and relaxation ahead of a Sydney FC training sessions and the Socceroos- clash with Oman at ANZ Stadium on Tuesday.
