Galekovic has been a consistent performer over a number of years with Adelaide United, taking out the Hyundai A-League's Goalkeeper of the Year award on numerous occasions.
An imposing figure and a quality shot-stopper, Galekovic is very comfortable on the ball playing as the last man as a “sweeper-keeper” something no doubt Ange Postecoglou likes.
He made his international debut in an Asian Cup qualifying match in 2009 and is the most experienced goal-keeper in the squad, having been part of the 23 that went to South Africa in 2010 and Brazil 2014.
Galekovic impressed during the 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup qualifiers and subsequent tournament in South Korea and remains a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s keeper ranks.
