His dominating form had him in the mix for a national team return, but Brisbane Roar boss John Aloisi has confirmed defender Luke DeVere’s injury will keep him out of football for a month.
DeVere, 27, has been one of the shining lights at Roar this season.
But a calf injury picked up in Perth last weekend appears to have scuppered his Socceroos return ahead of two crucial World Cup qualifiers in late March.
“He’s [DeVere] not going to be ready in time for the Socceroos matches.
“I think he definitely would have been picked,” Roar coach John Aloisi confirmed to @marcothejourno from the Courier Mail .
