It has been confirmed that Tim Cahill-s injury playing for his club side New York Red Bulls is only a strained hamstring.

The Socceroo star was taken off in the first half of his team-s clash with Chivas USA.

Cahill has since undergone an MRI and is now expected to miss just 2-3 weeks.

This is good news for the Socceroos after a weekend in which Tom Rogic and Mark Milligan both were under injury clouds at their club Melbourne Victory.

The final chance to see the Socceroos on home soil before they head to the World Cup will be when they take on South Africa in a farewell game on May 26 in Sydney. Tickets for the match, presented by NAB, are on sale now. Click here to secure yours.
