Caltex Socceroo Danny Vukovic saved a shootout penalty to help his club KRC Genk progress to the Belgian Cup quarter finals overnight.
The former Sydney FC hero saved Mechelen’s third spot-kick in the shootout to help Genk progress 5-4 after the sides finished 1-1 after 120 minutes.
Elsewhere and Tomi Juric was also in knockout action, playing 90 minutes as Luzern lost 2-1 to Basel in the Swiss Cup quarter-finals.
