The former Brisbane Roar skipper came on after 84 minutes for the defending champions in their 1-0 win over a 10-man Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League.

In England, Mark Schwarzer was lucky to stay on the pitch in Fulham's 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers in the Barclays Premier League after he was involved in a head clash with Junior Hoilett, which saw the Blackburn winger stretchered off.

It was a busy day for Aussies around England. Tim Cahill played as a striker in Everton's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa. In the nPower Championship, Neil Kilkenny played a full match as Bristol City went down 1-0 to Brighton; Adam Federici saw two go past him in Reading's 2-0 loss to Watford; while Rhys Williams and Scott McDonald also saw a full game for Middlesborough as they surge up the ladder after a 2-0 win over Burnley.

At Elland Road, Leeds United's Patrick Kisnorbo went up against Crystal Palace's Mile Jedinak. United won 3-2, but Jedinak provided the cross into the box that Paddy McCarthy finished for a goal.

In Korea, Socceroos defender Sasa Ognenovski scored twice on his return to K-League action after Socceroos duty, but it was still not enough for a win as Seongnam went down 3-2 to Suwon.

Former Adelaide United defender Robert Cornthwaite was named man of the match in Chunnam Dragons' 2-0 win over Luke DeVere-s Gyeongnam. The talldefender found scored for Chunnam in the 60th minute.

Other players to enjoy productive 90 minute shifts were Carl Valeri (as Sassuolo knocked off Cittadella 2-0in Italy's Serie B), Luke Wilkshire (Dinamo Moscow thumped city-rivals CSKA Moscow 4-0) and Brent McGrath (played a full game in attack, providing an assist as Brondby beat HB Koge 5-0 on Sunday).
