Mathew Leckie’s FC Ingolstadt pulled off the biggest upset of the Bundesliga season, only for the Caltex Socceroo to get sent off in stoppage-time in a dramatic clash in Bavaria.
Despite sitting last in the German top flight Ingolstadt became the first side this season to defeat RB Leipzig, with Roger’s 12th-minute header enough for a 1-0 win.
But in a tense finish, Leckie picked up two yellow cards in stoppage-time to see red but his side held on for just their second win of the campaign.
The 25-year-old winger’s first yellow was for a tackle from behind before he picked up his second booking just a few seconds later for kicking the ball away and then shoving an opponent.
