Aussies Abroad: Langerak enjoys six straight shut outs as O'Neill reaches cup Semi-Final

Mitch Langerak added another clean sheet to his collection for Nagoya Grampus while Brandon O'Neill reached a Cup Semi Final.

Starting in Japan, Langerak registered his sixth consecutive clean sheet for Nagoya Grampus as they drew 0-0 with FC Tokyo on Saturday.

Langerak’s side remain undefeated after the first seven rounds with the point enough to keep them in second place on the table.

 

In Thailand, Brandon O’Neill and his Buriram United saw off Muangthong United 2-0 in their FA Cup Quarter Final clash on Saturday night.

 

In the Bundesliga, Mathew Leckie was an unused substitute for Hertha Berlin as they came from behind to draw 1-1 against crosstown rivals Union on Sunday.

The stalemate was enough to see Leckie’s lift one place in the standings into 14th which slightly eases their relegation concerns.

Ajdin Hrustic was on the bench for Eintracht Frankfurt as they clinched a 2-1 victory at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

Frankfurt’s hunt for UEFA Champions League football next season received a major boost thanks to Andre Silva’s 87th minute winner which increases the gap between them and fifth placed Dortmund to seven points.

Harry Souttar and his Stoke City picked up yet another clean sheet as they secured a comfortable 2-0 win away to Bristol City in the Championship on Saturday.

In Greece, James Jeggo featured for the full 90 minutes for Aris FC as they claimed a 2-0 victory against Asteras Tripolis in the Super League.

In the Turkish SuperLig, Aziz Behich put in a full shift for Kayserispor as they held on for a 1-1 draw against Goztepe on Saturday.

Over to Israel where Nikita Rukavytsya started and played 71 minutes for Maccabi Haifa as they shared the points in a 1-1 draw with Maccabi Petach Tikva on Saturday.

In the Serbian SuperLiga, Milos Degenek’s FK Crvena Zvezda toppled Napredak 4-1 in their encounter on Sunday.

Degenek’s side are yet to be on the losing side in the Serbian top-flight this season following 29 rounds.

In Denmark, Alex Gersbach was an unused substitute for AGF Aarhus as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at Nordsjaelland on Sunday.

Trent Sainsbury was absent for Kortrijk as they went down to 2-1 to Club Brugge in their Belgian Pro League affair on Saturday.

Kenny Dougall played the full match for Blackpool as they extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches thanks to a 2-0 win against Swindon Town.
