Aussies Abroad: Genreau's French Cup Final, Mooy's Scottish Cup Semi-final

In a huge weekend of Aussies Abroad action, Denis Genreau could feature in a French Cup Final while Aaron Mooy is likely to appear in Celtic's Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers.

Subway Socceroos

Starting in the Premier League, where Harry Souttar was an unused substitute on Wednesday as Leicester City drew 1-1 with Leeds United in their bid to preserve Premier League safety.

Souttar could return to the lineup on Tuesday when Leicester face Everton in a huge six-pointer at 5am (AEST).

In the English Championship, Tom Rogic was also an unused substitute for West Brom on Thursday in a 2-0 loss to Sheffield United. 

He is likely to be in action again when West Brom face Norwich City on Sunday at 2:30am (AEST). 

In League One, Massimo Luongo started and played 85 minutes in a  3-0 win over Barnsley on Wednesday. The Tractor Boys need just two points from their last two games to clinch automatic promotion to the Championship.

He is likely to be in play again when Ipswich host Exeter City on Sunday at 12am (AEST).

In Czechia, Awer Mabil was another unused substitute for AC Sparta Prague on Thursday in a 2-1 win against FC Viktoria Plzeň.

He could be in action again on Sunday when they face Liberec at 11pm (AEST). 

In the US Open Cup third round, Milos Degenek played a full game again for Columbus Crew on Thursday in a 1-0 win over Indy Eleven.

He is expected to return to MLS for The Crew against Inter Miami on Sunday at 9:30am (AEST). 

Elsewhere in the US Open Cup, Alex Gersbach came off the bench in the 79th minute as Colorado Rapids beat Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC 3-1 on Thursday.

Gersbach's Rapids return to MLS action on Sunday when they face Vancouver on Sunday at 12:30pm (AEST).

Over to France, where Denis Genreau will be looking to start in the French Cup Final when Toulouse FC face Nantes on Sunday at 5am (AEST) at Stade de France.

Toulouse beat second-tier Annecy 2-1 to reach the French Cup Final at the beginning of the month while holders Nantes beat Lyon 1-0 to reach back-to-back Cup Finals. 

Genreau has started every Ligue 1 match since the semi-final. 

In Scotland, Aaron Mooy is likely to feature in Celtic's Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers on Sunday at 10:30pm (AEST). 

With the League Cup already in the bag, and the Premiership looking all but done, this is also a chance for them to push towards a treble.

A win over Rangers on Sunday would earn Celtic a spot in the final against the winner of this weekend’s other semi-final between Falkirk and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

After wrapping up the Premier League 2 Division 1 title last weekend, Alexander Robertson is likely to feature for Manchester City U21 when they face Wolves U21 on Saturday at 10pm (AEST). 

Back to the Championship, where Kenny Dougall could also be in action when Blackpool face Millwall on Saturday at 5am (AEST). Blackpool gave their Championship survival hopes a shot in the arm with their first away win since October with a 1-0 success at Birmingham last weekend. They are now three points adrift of 21st-placed Huddersfield, who have a game in hand, with two matches remaining.

In the Netherlands, Maty Ryan's AZ Alkmaar face Ajax on Sunday at 5am (AEDT). It is a pivotal match in the race for the top three league positions as AZ lie two points behind Ajax in fourth place. 

In Germany, both Connor Metcalfe and Jackson Irvine will be looking to recover from back-to-back 2. Bundesliga defeats when St Pauli host Arminia on Saturday at 9pm (AEST).

In Serie B, Fran Karacic could feature when Brescia Calcio face Cosenza on Monday at 11pm (AEST). 

In Norway, Nick D'Agostino is a chance to feature alongside Gianni Stensness when Viking FK face HamKam on Monday at 1am (AEST). 

Over to Asia, where Thomas Deng's Albirex Niigata face FC Tokyo on Saturday at 4pm (AEST) in the J1 League. After a positive start to the season, Niigata have only managed one win in their last five matches as they sit in 10th position. 

Elsewhere in the J1League, Mitch Langerak's Nagoya Grampus face Kevin Muscat's Yokohama FM on Saturday at 4pm (AEST). Nagoya are third while Yokohama currently occupy fourth, one point behind Langerak's side. 


In the K1 League, Harrison Delbridge could return to the lineup when Incheon United face Alex Grant's Pohang Steelers on Sunday at 4pm (AEST). 

In the Israeli Premier League play-offs, Nikita Rukavytsya could appear for Maccabi Haifa when they face Hapoel Beer-Sheva on Tuesday at 3:30am (AEST). 

Olyroos and Subway Young Socceroos

Starting in League Two, where Lachlan Brook came on in the 87th minute for Crewe Alexandra in a 2-0 loss to Grimsby Town on Wednesday. 

He could feature for Crewe again when they face Swindon Town on Sunday at 12am (AEST).

In the English Championship, goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic is likely to be on the bench when Huddersfield face Cardiff City on Sunday at 9pm (AEST). 

In League One, Caleb Watts could be in action for Morecambe against Lincoln City on Sunday at 12am (AEST).

In the Professional Development League, Matt Dench could appear for Charlton Athletic U21 when they face Peterborough United U21 on Tuesday at 11pm (AEST). 


In the German Regionalliga West, Jacob Italiano is likely to feature for Borussia Mönchengladbach II against SV Lippstadt 08 on Saturday at 10pm (AEST).

In the German 3. Liga, John Iredale could feature again in Germany's 3. Liga when SV Wehen Wiesbaden is likely to appear again when SV Wehen face SV Meppen on Saturday at 10pm (AEST).  

In Norway, Patrick Yazbek could appear when Viking FK face HamKam on Monday at 1am (AEST). 

Dylan Ryan could also be in action in the Eerste Divisie when FC Den Bosch face Telstar on Saturday at 4am (AEST).
