Caltex Socceroo Tom Rogic has helped put Celtic on the cusp of the Champions League group stage after scoring in their big play-off win over Hapoel Be’er Sheva on Thursday morning (AEST).
Rogic, who last week signed a three-year extension at the Scottish Championships, opened the scoring in the emphatic 5-2 triumph in the first leg at home.
The 23-year-old showed great composure to finish his goal and send the Hoops on their way.
After a ball over the top saw the onrushing keeper tangle with Scott Sinclair, the loose ball fell to Rogic on the edge of the box and he did well to keep it down on the half volley and sweep it into the back of the net.
