Tim Cahill scored his first goal for Shanghai Shenhua in a 2-0 win at home to Hangzhou Greentown in the Chinese Super League overnight.

Adrian Leijer played the full game and helped Chongqing Lifan keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win away to Guizhou Renhe.

In the J-League, Mitch Duke started and played the full game but his Shimizu S-Pulse side continued their poor form, going down 2-0 away to Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Mark Schwarzer watched from the bench as Leicester City recorded another crucial win, beating Premier League relegation rivals Burnley 1-0 away from home.
