Time for Roos to get results, says Davo

Having won back respect at the World Cup, Jason Davidson has declared it’s time for the Socceroos to start turning their exciting potential into results.

The Socceroos have assembled in camp in Liege ahead of friendly matches against Belgium and Saudi Arabia over the next week.

It’s the first games Ange Postecoglou’s squad have played since the World Cup and Davidson is eager to start tasting success after encouraging losses against Chile, Netherlands and Spain in Brazil.

“Football’s governed by results. People remember at the end of the day what you did with results and points,” Davidson told www.footballaustralia.com.au.

“It was a step in the right direction at the World Cup but now we have two games coming up and we have an opportunity to change that and start getting some results our way now.

“It’s very important we start working towards the Asian Cup with these games. We can’t take them lightly we have to work hard and try and get a result.

“It’s starts with Belgium and I’m sure the boys will be eager to come into camp and work hard and on Thursday to get a result.”
