Socceroo's loan move to SPL strugglers

Eager for more first-team football, fringe Socceroos midfielder Jackson Irvine has taken up a season-long loan deal at Scottish Premier League strugglers Ross County.

Irvine has been unable to break into Celtic’s side so far this season and both parties agreed it was best for the 21-year-old to move away for the second straight season.

The Melbourne-born youngster was also loaned out last season making 29 appearances for fellow SPL club Kilmarnock and scoring once, ironically against County.
