The Socceroos have dropped to number 68 in the latest FIFA world rankings for February, 2016, released today by FIFA.
Australia were at 59 in the most recent rankings, released last month, which was down two spots on December.
Tajikistan, Australia’s next 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Qualifier opponents on March 24 in Adelaide, are 148 in the latest rankings.
Australia will also play Jordan in a 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia ™ Qualifier in Sydney on March 29, with that nation ranked 82.
