Mitch Langerak 6
Lucky not to have been sent off for the second straight international after bringing down Muath Fallatah for a second half penalty. Couldn’t be faulted for the other Saudi goal.
Chris Herd 7.5
Was much more composed than his debut against Belgium and solid throughout. Replaced 15 minutes into the second half.
Alex Wilkinson n/a
Lasted just five minutes before being replaced with a glute injury.
Bailey Wright 7.5
Didn’t put a foot wrong in a strong debut, capped off with a goal to put the result to be 14 minutes from time. Showed promise he can cut it at this level.
Jason Davidson 6.5
A more assured performance from the left-back who enjoyed one of his most consistent games for the national team before being subbed off on 60 minutes.
Mile Jedinak 6
Wasteful in possession, particularly in the first half, but typically robust in the challenge and was able break up a few Saudi attacks. Scored early on with a superb header. Was replaced on the hour.
Josh Brillante 7
Looked comfortable throughout and provided the assist for Jedinak’s goal. Was strong on the ball and in the tackle and was crisp with his passing. Showed his versatility by switching to right-back for the last 30 minutes.
Mathew Leckie 6.5
Another all-action outing for the winger, who was a constant threat and outlet down the right. Heavily involved in Cahill’s opener.
Massimo Luongo 8
Playing in the ‘No.10 role was the Socceroos’ best player on his first start in the Green and Gold. Got into good areas and produced some silky touches in tight areas. Combined well with Cahill. Given a superb ovation when replaced with just 12 minutes to go.
Tommy Oar 6.5
Involved in Cahill’s opener and provided some teasing crosses. Another solid showing for the FC Utrecht man.
Tim Cahill 7
Another goal for the veteran striker – his 35 th at international level. Again a real threat from crosses and enjoyed having a bit more freedom against the Saudi defence than Kompany and co four days earlier. Given an early mark with 20 minutes to go.

Trent Sainsbury 5.5
Came on very early after Wilkinson was forced off injured. Solid for the most part but was guilty of a few sloppy errors at the back which were almost punished with goals.
Mark Milligan 6
On for the skipper on the hour mark and was as solid as ever.
Carl Valeri 6
Came on for Herd with 30 minutes to go, the highlight his brilliant goal-line clearance to deny the Saudi’s a second goal.
Brad Smith 6
Given the last 30 minutes at left-back in place of Davidson and showed some good touches going forward.
