Caltex Socceroo Jason Davidson helped Groningen to their first point of the Eredivisie season as a host of Australian full-backs completed full shifts while Tomi Juric played 90 minutes up front in Switzerland.
Davidson made his second straight start on loan at Groningen from Huddersfield Town, and the 25-year-old helped the Dutch club claim a scoreless draw at reigning champions PSV Eindhoven on Sunday.
It was Groningen's first point of the season, while they also notched their maiden cleansheet of 2016-17.
It wasn't long ago that left-back was considered a genuine weakness of the Socceroos but on Sunday Davidson was one of four Australian players in that position to play 90 minutes for their European clubs, while three of them aren't in Ange Postecoglou's squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers.
Scott Jamieson also continued a strong start at his new club - IFK Gothenburg - playing 90 minutes in a 2-0 triumph over Helsingborgs in Sweden's Allsvenskan.
Aziz Behich was involved from start to finish as Bursaspor lost 2-0 to Istanbul BB in Turkey, while Alex Gersbach - who will link up with Postecoglou's squad in Perth this week - played 90 minutes in Rosenborg's 3-1 victory over Tromso in Norway.
Elsewhere in Europe, Tomi Juric completed a full shift but FC Luzern lost 3-0 at St Gallen in Switzerland, while Mustafa Amini did the same in AGF's 2-1 defeat to AaB in Denmark.
In Asia, Tomislav Mrcela set up the equaliser and played 90 minutes as Jeonnam Dragons won 2-1 over Pohang Steelers in the K League, while in Hong Kong, Ryan Griffiths came off the bench in the 75th minute of South China's 1-0 triumph over Hong Kong Sapling.
