Important information for fans travelling to Iran

Football Federation Australia would like to provide football fans travelling to Iran with important information including visa requirements, application processes and relevant contact information. Ticketing details for the match have also been included with the on-sale details to be confirmed.

ENTRY AND VISA REQUIREMENTS

Australian passport holders require a visa to enter Iran. Travellers planning on obtaining a visa on arrival should contact their nearest Iranian Embassy or Consulate for detailed information on requirements. If an application for a visa on arrival is rejected, the Australian Embassy will be unable to intervene.

PROCESS

Note: Due to the new regulations, all visa applicants, along with other required documents, must enclose the proof of an adequate medical travel insurance coverage from Iranian or Foreign Insurance Agents to allow the smooth processing of their application.

2. Attach two (2) recent passport photographs

3. Applicant’s passport (with at least 6 month validity and a minimum of two blank pages)

4. Reserved itinerary

5. Travel insurance

6. Money Order (Iranian Embassy) AUD$160

Send all documents via registered or express envelopes with complete name and address or a pre-paid addressed courier bag for the return of the passport. Please ensure that you keep your tracking numbers in a safe place until you receive your passport. Allow four weeks for the processing of your application.

HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS TO THE MATCH

Ticketing for this match is managed by the Iraq Football Association.

The Iraq FA will determine whether tickets will be available to purchase before the match through an online platform.

Tickets will be available to purchase at the gate.

The Iraq FA will provide Football Federation Australia with ticket purchasing options and ticket prices in the coming weeks which will be communicated to fans at www.socceroos.com.au/tickets.
