Harry Kewell departs Watford FC

In a surprise move, Caltex Socceroo legend Harry Kewell has parted ways with English Premier League club Waftford FC as their U-21s coach.

Kewell took to social media on Good Friday to announce that "regretfully" he was leaving his post.

'Unfortunately results haven't been on my side,' he wrote on his Twitter feed. 

'However, I'm extremely proud that 3 of my players have made their debut for the first team and 5 others have been in the squad."

He thanked Watford and said he was looking forward to his next challenge. 

Kewell joined the Hornets in mid-2015 after his playing career finished to oversee Watford’s next generation as they embarked on their first season in the Under-21 Professional Development League 2 South.
