BAILEY WRIGHT

It was a second half masterclass for Wright’s Bristol City as they crushed Derby County 4-1 at Ashton Gate.

City trailed 1-0 at the break but were untouchable in the second half with goals to Cauley Woodrow, Bobby Reid, Jamie Paterson and Famara Diedhiou capping a big win for the hosts.

Wright played another 90 minutes as City moved up to eighth spot on the table.

MASSIMO LUONGO

QPR’s recent strong run came to an end at the hands of Middlesbrough as Ian Holloway’s side went down 3-2 at the Riverside.

Luongo put in another full shift in Rangers’ midfield but they let slip a second-half lead to lose 3-2.

It was QPR’s third defeat from eight matches this season to sit 11th on the ladder.

JAMES MEREDITH

Meredith’s excellent start to life in the Championship continued as his Millwall side beat league-leaders Leeds United at the Den.

In a typically full-blooded affair, Aiden O’Brien’s 73rd minute goal was enough for the Lions to win 1-0 to register just their second win of the campaign.

Meredith, who has a couple of Caltex Socceroos caps to his name, played a full match at left back for 16th-placed Millwall.

IRVINE AND JEDINAK

Jackson Irvine watched from the bench as Hull City were held to a 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

Caltex Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak – who made his Championship return for Aston Villa midweek – was left out of their squad for the 3-0 win at Barnsley.
