Aussies abroad: Behich's Turkish Cup joy

There was cup joy for Aziz Behich, mixed emotions for Maty Ryan and disappointment for Trent Sainsbury on a roller-coaster night for our Socceroos stars in action abroad overnight.

In Turkey, Behich’s Bursaspor won through to the Turkish Cup final after a sensational 3-0 away win over Fenerbache in their semi-final second leg.

Having lost the first leg 2-1 at home, Bursaspor produced a stunning turnaround, leading 1-0 at the break before scoring twice more in the second half for a memorable 4-2 aggregate win.

Behich played the full 90 minutes and is sure to be involved in next month’s final against Galatasaray.

Ryan named Belgium's best

Ryan was between the sticks as Club Brugge held on for a 3-2 win at Sporting Charleroi.

While the result pushed Brugge back into second spot, their title dream is over as AA Gent also prevailed.

Mat Ryan's Club Brugge remain on top in the Belgian Pro League.

Gent leads Ryan’s side by five points with just one match to be played this weekend.

Sainsbury got through a full game for PEC Zwolle, who were beaten 2-1 at home by Vitesse Arnhem.

Luke Wilkshire played 90 minutes in Feyenoord’s 1-0 loss at Heerenveen in the first leg of their Europa League playoff.

Elsewhere, Oliver Bozanic played a full game as FC Luzern won 1-0 at BSC Young Boys and Daniel McBreen was among the goals in Asia.
